Your Teen Street Skills program is almost here!
Teen Street Skills continues its 2021 season with four programs this weekend in Corktown! We appreciate you being a part of our advanced teen driver training program. You'll get behind the wheel and experience emergency braking, skid control, and evasive lane changing, as well as learn other valuable skills to help you avoid dangerous scenarios on the road...skills that will last a lifetime!
You are signed up for one of the programs that take place in the coming days. (NOTE: Participants only attend ONE of the 3 1/2 hour programs.) For the September programs, we are positioned in a very unique spot in Corktown--immediately west of Michigan Central Station.
With Ford's renovations to the train station well underway, you will notice a lot of construction-related activity and signage. The entrance to the Teen Street Skills program location is at Construction GATE 1, which is accessible via 17th Street, off of Michigan Ave. There will be Teen Street Skills signage, as well, positioned at the entrance.
PLEASE NOTE: You MUST take 17th Street from Michigan Avenue as the Vernor Viaduct (Vernor Highway underpass west of the train station) will be closed for the next six weeks. 17th Street will be open to local traffic only so you will likely see traffic cones and/or barricades. You can view full details about the road closures HERE.
