Program details

Following a brief introduction, students will be split into two groups of about 15 students. The 3 1/2 hour program is split into two segments covering four main exercises: Emergency Braking, Skid Control, Evasive Lane Change, and Car Knowledge 2.0.

The first segment involves Emergency Braking and Skid Control exercises, with students switching after 40 minutes. There is a quick course changeover to prepare for the second segment involving the Evasive Lane Change exercise and Car Knowledge 2.0 (with an Officer from Detroit Police Department). The Police Officer will discuss the proper procedures if and when your teen is involved in a traffic stop or accident and will be in full uniform (including weapon). The two groups of students switch after 35 minutes.
