Instructor

Harris started his driving career with the Michigan Department of State Police in January, 1988 as a Michigan State Trooper. He retired from that agency in 2013 as a Detective Special Lieutenant in the Forensic Science Division. The Michigan State Police is considered to have one of the best driving programs in the world for Law Enforcement.

Harris is a Certified Professional Driver/In-Car Instructor for the automobile industry (BMW, Audi, General Motors, to name a few) and various High Performance Driving Education Schools. He has been a Certified Instructor since 2008 which started with BMW/Porsche clubs. In 2010, Harris started working for EventLink as a Professional Driver, In/Car Instructor which has afforded him the opportunity to work in this automotive industry for some of the biggest car manufacturing companies. He has been hired to work at GM Milford Proving Grounds, M1 Concourse—the largest privately-owned garage community with a race track in Pontiac, Michigan, and various other world-class race track facilities all over the country. Harris has won several Autocross competitions throughout his driving career and instructed countless Teen Street Skills/Survival life saving driving programs since 2008. He is also one of 27 selected Pro-Drivers that works for BMW Ultimate Driving Experience Tour, which travels to private tracks all over America, educating drivers with tips on high speed driving in BMW products. 

In additional to Harris’ love for driving, he is an accomplished martial artist. Still active today, Harris is a 14 time Multi-World Champion Team USA Gold Medalist Martial Artist (13 Kickboxing/1 Point-Fighter) and has traveled the world competing. He also gives Martial Arts Seminars all over the world.
