the power behind teen street skills

BUHL SPORT DETROIT is an experiential marketing company whose mission is to produce the ultimate motorsports experiences for our clients. We shed the national spotlight on our great city of Detroit through a variety of outlets, including a professional race team, teen driving program, and public and private events.

We customize event experiences for clients to deliver excitement to their employees and customers and create unique memories that will be talked about for years!

Teen Street Skills is a 501(c)3 nonprofit educational community program designed by Robbie Buhl. The 3 1/2 hour program puts teens behind the wheel to learn skills used for a lifetime. Participants learn how to maximize car performance to properly react to adverse conditions. Best of all, Teen Street Skills relies 100% on sponsor support from businesses and individuals to underwrite program costs as it is FREE to participants.

The educational program is put on throughout the year at the Teen Street Skills proving ground in Corktown—Detroit’s oldest neighborhood—just minutes away from Buhl Sport Detroit’s headquarters at The Factory at Corktown. Along with lead instructor Robbie Buhl, the team of instructors is made up of those with racing and vehicle instruction in their background.

This is not a racing program in any way. However, all of us know what we can get from a car and how to challenge it to its limits.

Another aspect of Buhl Sport Detroit is its professional race team Racing4Detroit. There had never been a race team based in Detroit until Tom and Robbie Buhl debuted the team in November, 2015. The team currently races the #4 car in Americas Rallycross ARX2 class. The series, promoted and operated by IMG, features short races and viewer-friendly asphalt and dirt circuits, making for exciting racing suited to the way we enjoy sports today.
